When you are looking to buy or sell a home, I am sure you get a ton of advice from a lot of sources. And that is not necessarily a bad thing. The Internet, your friends and family and other sources are all great places to go for info and advice. It makes sense for you to do your homework and take into consideration your own unique situation. That may mean that ultimately you need to take your own advice.
With all this well-meaning advice, you can get information overload, and it may work against you. You may be afraid to make a move and disappoint a friend or family member or may be fearful of looking like an idiot. But when it comes to your own home and your own finances, your buddy Joe or cousin Mary will not be paying the bills or living in the home, etc. What is important to them may not be so important to you.
So take in all the info and all the aspects of a sale or purchase into consideration, and then make a decision based on your own needs, desires, financial situation and your own research.
